Three kinds of Kale - Peach tree on the left and cherry trees in the middle back. 300+ pounds of sour cherries harvested this year. Amazing.

Philadelphia orchard project came by and with a group of kids planted three new orchard trees. This one is a Seckle pear. The garden is run by one paid employee Drew Gold and paid interns all teenagers from local schools and unpaid volunteers.

There are four bee hives on site which are kept by a local beekeeper. Scarlett resting in the shade.

November 13 2014 - Starting to close down.  Only vegetables still being harvested are winter greens.  Cover crops being planted - rye grass and clover.

Was a late year in Midwest - tomatoes to the right are just starting to get bigger. Front is German butter potatoes, and sweet potatoes. Then lettuces, beets (3 colors). Carrots (3 colors) then parsnips. Bush beans, golden beans and haricot vert are in the middle horizontal.

To many squash plants they just kept coming! Billard ball variety were cool and the butternut yikes so many. They all got powdery mildew which was a pain in the lower back but I got it under control thanks to Neem. Also had cantaloupe in this bed.
